As part of expanding partnerships between research institutions and the private sector, the Agricultural Research Corporation (ARC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the African Plantation Company (APCO) – one of the companies under the Mahgoub Sons Group – at the group’s headquarters in Gedaref. The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in agricultural fields.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the Agricultural Research Corporation by Professor Ahmed Hassan Abu Assar, Acting Director General, and on behalf of the Mahgoub Sons Group by Mr. Yousif Wagdy Mirghani, Director General.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohamed Elbagir ElKhawad, Director of Monitoring and Evaluation- ARC, Dr. Shadia Abdalla, Coordinator of ARC Sorghum Research Program, alongside Dr. Osama Shobeika, Director of Strategy and Development at the company.
The memorandum seeks to enhance collaboration between the two parties, contributing to increased agricultural productivity and supporting sustainable development efforts in Sudan.
